* How to delete GPT or EFI partition with Diskpart
- DOS Prompt|diskpart
- "list disk" to display all the disks on the computer
- "select disk n" to identify the disk to work with (n=disk letter)
- "list partition" to display all volumes on the hard drive
- "select partition n" to select partition to be removed (n=volume letter)
- "delete partition override" to remove the GPT or EFI partition
- "exit" after message "DiskPart successfully deleted the selected partition"

*  To  upgrade  Win98 to WinME using full OEM CD  rename  win.com  to 
win.bak.  But  you  MUST reboot the machine. Use  the  startup  WinME 
floppy on reboot. Then run setup.exe on the WinME CD.

* WINS - Windows Internet Name Service.
Similar to DNS but resolves NetBios machine names. 
Configure it on NT server and each windows client machine. 
WINS server provides a central database that maps NetBios  names 
to TCP/IP addresses.

* To format new hdd for WinME you can partition the new hdd. Then use 
Windows Explorer and click on the new D: and it will ask if you  want 
to format it.

* To edit System Policies. Use System Policy Editor POLEDIT.  Install 
it  by  installing POLEDIT.INF. Policies may be set  in  Registry  or 
CONFIG.POL by a Network Administrator if on a network.

* To uninstall a program using the Uninstall command in the Registry
Run REGEDIT and find
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Look through the keys or search for the program you want to uninstall.
Copy the UninstallString value for the program.
Open a DOS command window and Paste the UninstallString and run it
